March, 21st & he's perfect!

Towards the end of my pregnancy I was told I was going to be induced, and I was worried I was going to stall at the end and end up having a C-section. I have nothing against C-sections it just wasn't apart of my birth plan.

I was in a Storks Nest BC there was a storm going on and it's been proven to make pregnant woman go into labor. BC I was high risk I had to come in and stay overnight or until the storm passed. One of the pregnant ladies was telling me her friend jumped on a trampoline and went into labor that way. Being that I don't have access to a trampoline and I'm sure my hubby wouldn't let one one. I choose the next best thing, a Yoga ball. I was looking up ways to dilate (go into labor) as much as I could BC I didn't want to go in and not be dilated at all. I think I tried almost everything. One of my appointments I was already dilated to 2 cm and prior to that I was just going for walks. afterwards I upped my walks, I was walking up these inclines by my house every night if not that then walking downtown. So, anyway back to the yoga ball. I was bouncing on it, rolling my hips I even started to do squats. That was a bad idea, HAHAH!

Around 12:00-12:30 AM I was eating a snack and I felt something weird. I thought I pee'd on myself but it happened again. I'm over walking like a creep shuffling to go up stairs and my hubby walks in, I tell him my water broke and His face was priceless. We rush upstairs and I go over whats in my bag. We're over here laughing the whole time, BC that's what I do when I feel awkward. I was so excited. On the way to the hospital we're calling people, still laughing at each other. Side note, no one tells you that once your water breaks it keeps on coming out. FYI ladies.

We get admitted and it was just a waiting game. HOURS go by and I dilated to a 3 then a 4....5...6.
GAME CHANGER. They were not playing. My birth plan was to go natural and I was doing good till 6 cam along and I was asking for it. I had my hubby count how long I was contracting for and he had messed up the count, I went off on him. HAHAH! SMH. I was asking politely for the epidural. The reason I asked for it was BC I didn't know how long it was going to be when I hit 10. In my mind if it took me this long to get to 6 cm how much longer will it take me to get to 10 cm? Girl, bye. Once I got the epidural I was chill. The nurse kept asking me if I was feeling any of my contractions BC on the monitor they were 1 to 2 minutes apart. But once I did asked for the epidural I felt bad. I was set on not getting an epidural. My hubby was supportive and kept reassuring my that it was fine and to not beat myself up over it.

About two hours later, it was time to push. I couldn't tell if I was pushing correctly due to the epidural. Took my 9 pushes it was so fast. I loved my nurses they were the sweetest. My hubby was cheering me on, made me love him even more.

We had our son March, 21st <3 & he's perfect!

8 MORE WEEKS!

8 more weeks till our son Kingston gets here. I am beyond excited. Although I'm visioning having a healthy pregnancy and fast forward to his first and second birthday, HAHAH! I'm totally skipping the the delivery. I just don't know what to expect, I mean I think about it and how I'd want it to go.

I'm planning to go natural, I honestly think I can do it. I've been thinking if I get stuck at 7 cm for x-amount of hours, I wonder if they'll give me pitocin to keep me progressing. I should ask next time I go in. Can't wait for the next ultrasound so we can see our little man and hopefully he's not too big, cause mama needs to push him out. I really wanted to do a water birth but maybe I'll try it with our next baby. Look at me already talking about baby number 2, haahha!

I love seeing my little man move around and making my bump look crazy. He's been getting down to the music I play for him And it always puts a smile on my face. I've been lagging on making a playlist for him to listen to in the womb. Maybe he'll recognize it once he's here. He's recently started moving for daddy, which is a blessing because he would stop immediately once he would put his hand on my bump and I would feel bad. I love being able to share that with him. Hubby always says his movements are soft, to me they're big. Lately his kicks/ movements have been hurting. I'm over here thinking he's mad, but I start to laugh and encourage him.

I can't wait to meet him, but I will because if he came out now it'd be a little too soon.

Cravings

These third trimester craving are no joke. Yesterday I was craving some Schawarma from Dr. Kabob's and some McChickens. I'm looking forward to getting my McChickens right, only to find out that they ran out. HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF MCCHICKENS, HOW?! I was about to cry. It has to be these pregnancy craving cause I don't ever cry for food. I could really go for some Thai food down the street their Thai Iced Tea is FIRE!

Baby Shower - Lion King

Hubby and I went back home to celebrate our firstborn's baby shower. My sister and Best Friend threw it for us, with the help of our loved ones. I was so happy I got to spend my family. The theme was Lion King It's one of our favorite movies growing up. My husband's Brothers came and surprised us from Idaho. We've missed em so much and with everyone's lives going in different directions its always nice seeing everyone. We really thought they weren't going to be able to make because they just had started school.

I'm so thankful for my sister's and everyone's help with the baby shower. We loved it and enjoyed everyone's company.
